What stands out about our club?
We think that our Club has a lot to offer. As one of the largest Victorian Clubs, our members are active over a wide range of navigation sports. We are very supportive of families entering orienteering and of juniors who often progress rapidly and may go on to represent their state and internationally. We provide coaching opportunities for all ages and abilities.
Communication
Members are kept in touch with club activities via emails, our Facebook page and the club's website – bkorienteering.org.au
Geographical Area
Our club name reflects our history as the oldest orienteering club in Australia. However, today, our membership is spread over the whole Melbourne metropolitan area as well as Geelong.
Social Events
While our Orienteering program provides an ideal vehicle for members to become involved, we also have an active Social Program. During the year we have functions including restaurant and live theatre nights, coaching sessions, beach days, bike rides, barbecues, orienteering/rogaining skills nights, our AGM and a Christmas dinner. We often organise a visit to a local restaurant or cafe at the end of an event.
Club Gear
We have a attractive range of club clothing available: orienteering tops, bike jerseys, t-shirts, polo shirts and jackets that members proudly wear at events. These are available at discounted prices to members.
